A crack in the silence

I wrote this poem in the middle of the night. I even forgot about it. šŸ˜€ Then I discovered it the next day. šŸ™‚ Hope you like it.

Yellow, Orange and Blue,
Dance the flames of the searing fire.
The crackling sound breaking the silence of the night,
Black smoke arises;
Yet light is abundant.
Warmth spreading all around,
While sacrificing the tree which gave life to the fire.
All through the night the fire burns,
Yielding only grey ash when the sun returns.

I wanted to write this because I had to take a break from the story. The story will however be completed in a few posts.
