This was given to me by my close friend Abhilash.G. Its about having fun with wireless internet access. It supposedly makes everything appear upside-down to everyone tapping your wireless internet connection. This is to be done using the UNIX based operating systems like UNIX, Linux and Mac OS. Everything below is as it is in the material given to me.

Split the network

I’m starting here by splitting the network into two parts, the trusted half and the untrusted half. The trusted half has one net block, the untrusted a different net block. We use the DHCP server to identify mac addresses to give out the relevant addresses.

ddns-updates off;
ddns-update-style interim;

shared-network local
subnet *.*.*.* netmask {
range *.*.*.* *.*.*.*;
option routers *.*.*.*;
option subnet-mask;
option domain-name “XXXXX”;
option domain-name-servers *.*.*.*;
deny unknown-clients;

host trusted1 {
hardware ethernet *:*:*:*:*:*;
fixed-address *.*.*.*;

subnet netmask {
option routers;
option subnet-mask;
option domain-name-servers;
allow unknown-clients;

Above code submitted by Abhilash.G.

    Alright! I am guessing. Its either that no one uses wireless internet, or that no one is interested. 😛

    Its obvious that not many use wireless internet. How can anyone want the freedom of wireless-ness if the stick onto sucky PCs and Windows??
