Academic qualification

What is wrong with today’s world? Every damn person is judged based only on their Academic achievements. The skills are always secondary. Importance has not been given to the skilled student but to people who just learn these subjects by heart and just vomit it on paper. Sorry if I am wrong but I have never seen even one example of skills being chosen over academic performance.

According to me people with enough skill can perform much better than the person who is ONLY academically proficient. This is the case in all professional qualifications. Will this situation change? If yes, when? No individual wants to remain in the back just because he is academically lacking. Only the dynamically thinking generation can change this situation. And I seriously wish with all my heart that this situation does not exist when the next generation is qualified to work.

academic:1.having to do with education or study. 2.not related to a real situation and so not important….

well…tats wat our academic courses are (be it, school level or professional level), entirely academic….!! 🙂 from parents to teachers, everyone is so caught up in the race, tat it comes as no surprise tat academic proficiency is given the centre stage (read the whole stage..)..rarely anyone gives a second thought abt anything near to SKILLS….!!

Well, things will not change in the near future. Only the mindset of people can change this situation. However, worldwide, people recognise the other with the kind of background he has and that typically is Knowledge and that in turn is judged by the qualifications.

that does not really mean that Qualification is the end of the road…… There is life beyond that…. and I am a standing example to this fact….

I am not qualified in a big way…. but with the kind of interpersonal skills and talent, today I am in a pretty good position in my life…. with respect to my career…..

Though I am in a midst of talented people, the only saddeing factor is that all my colleagues are extrmely qualified. This has also put me in a spot of bother…..

So, it is always better to be if not very good…. atleast good in your academic life…. then your professional career will be really interesting….

Yep. I agree with Mag. I don’t care what they judge me based on. I’d rather be true to myself and work towards excellence whether academically or not.

If you are really not good at academics, just check if its your lack of hard work; 90% of the times this is it. If you are genuinely not interested, you could as well live life like the way you like it and stop worrying about what other people think of you.

[…] Even though the presentation did not look very formal, I have confirmed that this technique is very much in use nowadays. This came as a huge break to me as I am a guy who believes only people with talent should be given work and not people who learn the text books by-heart. I have said more than enough about this in one of my earliest posts. If anyone decided it would be good enough to go through, it was Academic Qualification. […]

Really true…. Nowadays ur a mugging expert then u rock… Tats how life is.. Mebbe one can only vomit what they know on the paper for the exam and may not even be able to speak in english properly! Its high time tat things change.Academic qualification is only a passport to a job, perhaps but its not the only thing that matters
