Lonely, I am so lonely…

Statutory warning: This post is in no way related to the music track Lonely by Akon.

Loneliness is the worst fear most people can have. For people who deny it, let me ask you a question. What would you think will happen if you were to be abandoned in the middle of the sea on a deserted island with no traces of getting back to civilization? Of the many this question was asked to, many will answer that it would be the best thing that happened in their life. Think again. I agree, it might be very peaceful in the beginning, but as time progresses you will come to a startling realization that you are going mad. You will be talking to yourself extensively and also with many non-living things which might look like human figures.

Anyone who doesn’t agree should and must watch the movie I am LEGEND starring Will Smith. The movie is based on a novel previously written by Richard Matheson. The acting done by Will Smith cannot be described by mere words. But I am not here to talk about acting. I wanted to tell you what loneliness can make you do and what it does to you. Anyone who was thinking about that deserted island bit should seriously reconsider.

Why not alone? Mainly because all living beings are social in nature. They need at least one other of their own species to survive. By survive, I didn’t mean the survival of the species. I meant the survival of that particular living being itself. Ever heard of solitary confinement? Ever wondered what good it will do to punish a person by ordering solitary confinement? Well, according to me it is the worst form of punishment any human being can be put through. If it prolongs, it can make the person go insane and drive him to the extent of killing himself.

At last I come to the part which I really needed to write about. How do I counter loneliness? Simple, Talk to people around you. Have you ever felt you feel so lonely even though you are surrounded by many people? If your answer is yes, that is because you want to keep to yourself even if there are people who are willing to interact with you. Introverts tend to feel lonely very often. They expect something more(don’t know what exactly) from the people around them.

Come on people, wake up! Life is not going to wait for you to open up at your own pace. Times change, people change. Try to make the best of what little time you have with the people in your life rather than waiting for something extraordinary to happen. Respect is EVERYTHING!

A very good day to all my readers! Yesterday, I was thinking about the respect shown to my father by other people. I will explain why later in this post. Having this in mind, I was browsing the net looking for anything based on respect. At that time, I came across this very interesting website. It is about RESPECT. This made me think of the various forms respect. According to me, there are two. They are:

• Respect due to fear of the person.

• Respect shown for the value you have given them in your heart.

Don’t worry guys, I will explain. But before that I wish to tell you about the examples that I am going to take in order to explain it. For the first, I take the example of my current(temporary) HOD(Head Of Department). His name is Sameerana. For the second I take my favourite lecturer Mr. Nandeeswar.S.B. If you were very observant, you would have already made out the difference between the respect I have for both these people. But I will explain even otherwise.

Sameerana:

This person is very strict and bosses around the students pretty much the whole time. The reason why I have some respect for him is due to his attitude towards mistakes. He thinks students should not make any mistakes and there should be no room for indiscipline at all. What good is a student life without all these? According to him, we are not undergraduate students but post-graduates. I fear his wrath and obey most of what he says. But otherwise, I hate him. One thing what I thought was, why do people impose themselves on others? The answer I am yet to find out. Now moving on to my next example.

Mr. Nandeeswar.S.B:

Please let me know if I overdo the description part. It is because of the immense respect I have towards him. Why do I respect him so much? The reason is because he does not impose himself on anyone. He is more of a friend than a lecturer to me. He is my definition of a lecturer. I see him as a person who can be trusted with responsibility and leadership. A person like him would not misuse it. This post sir, is a tribute to you. You may not realize how much you have actually done for me. I really wish you would stay in this college for a couple more years, until I complete my engineering. Kudos to a wonderful teacher!

Now that I have explained how I respect these two people, you must have a clear idea on what the two kinds of respect are. Respect is not respect if it is induced because of fear. The way people respect you is based entirely on how you carry yourself in everyday life. Now coming back to my dad, it was because of great love and gratitude that the person showed his respect. A SALUTE to all the people who were responsible for me to write this post.

Vimal has just tagged me saying I can’t refuse to write one myself. So here it goes. There are 2 primary rules to be followed at all costs. They are:

First of all I would be VERY depressed. Secondly, I would let her go on with her life. It’s her choice to make.

Both. Actually they cannot be compared with each other.

FOREVER! But I need to know that the person will actually accept my proposal. I will not force anyone to accept it too.

ANYBODY. I love acting. It should not be mixed with love.

To be herself. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don’t know. How would I see myself 2 years from now? I don’t know!

Finding my loved one and then LOSING her.

I haven’t met him. But I can say he is pretty straight forward. Well, that is what I inferred by reading his blog.

Neither. I would WANT to be married and rich.

Put on my glasses. After that, check if I have any new messages. After that see my mom’s face. She is my portrait of god.

Yes! Anything.

“The one who doesn’t give up on me… ever !” This is what Vimal wrote. I too feel the same way.

18. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing that special someone has done?
Yes. After all, everyone makes mistakes.

19. What are your three most important expectations in love ( Original Question: Will you marry me?)
Communication, compromise and celebration. These are, according to me the three C’s of a successful relationship.
